Importing In-Game Data into City Planner & Command Center

The City Planner and Command Center tools on Forge of Games let you manage, optimize, and review your city layouts, hero rosters, and equipment with ease. You can also view your city's statistics. To take full advantage of these features, you’ll want to import your actual in-game data—so that what you see here matches what’s in Heroes of History.

Select the method that best fits your device and preferences:

Best for: iOS mobile users playing on the Main server

Step 1: Install Scriptable App

First, you'll need to install the Scriptable automation app on your iOS device. Download Scriptable from the App Store.

Scriptable is a popular automation app that allows you to run JavaScript scripts on iOS.

Step 2: Get the HoH Helper Mobile script

You have two options to set up the script:

Option A: Direct Download (Recommended)
  1. Click here to download the script file from the GitHub on your iOS device
  2. In Files app, tap on the downloaded file, then on Share icon, then on Scriptable app - it will automatically open in the Scriptable app
  3. Save the script when prompted
Option B: Manual Setup
  1. Open the Scriptable app and create a new script
  2. Open script code in our GitHub repository in Safari
  3. Tap the three dots menu and select "Copy" to copy the script code
  4. Return to Scriptable and paste the code into your new script
  5. Tap on the script title at the top and rename it to something like "HoH Helper"
Step 3: Run the Script & Set Credentials

Once the script is saved in Scriptable, tap to run it. Depending on your setup, you'll see one of two alerts:

  • Credentials not set: The script prompts you to enter your in-game login details.
    • You can either type them manually or select them from your iOS keychain or password manager.
    • Once saved, they will be stored securely in your device’s local storage.
  • Credentials already set: You’ll see two options: Run or Delete credentials.
    • Run – Proceeds to log in and fetch your game data.
    • Delete credentials – Clears your stored login details so you can enter new ones next time.
🔒 Security Notice

Your username, password, or any session data are never sent to Forge of Games. The script works similarly to how the original game loads your data, then sends only the game data (city layout, heroes, equipment etc.) to our servers for import.

Step 4: Export Your Data
  1. After clicking Run, the script will sign into your game and download your startup data.
  2. This typically takes a few seconds.
  3. If successful, Safari will automatically open a page on Forge of Games with your import options.
Final Step: Import Your Data
  1. The newly opened page on Forge of Games will let you choose which data (city layout, heroes, equipment, etc.) you'd like to import.
  2. Click Import. Once successful, head over to the City Planner or Command Center to review and manage the newly imported data.
  3. Alternatively, click View Stats if you only want to view your city statistics.

That's it—you're ready to start optimizing your city layouts or strategizing your heroes!

Q: How do I update or change my login credentials?

A: Run the script and choose Delete credentials when prompted. Then run the script again and enter your new username and password.
